Bruas Kopitiam

Today, we bring you closer to home to cherish and enliven the moments that to be shared together as one BIG family of Bruas Kopitiam.

Bruas is not a big city chockablock with skyscrapers and monumental buildings. Instead, it’s simply a small town located 47km northeast of Lumut and Pangkor with few local coffee shops to hang out that still unchanged by modernization.
A prince from Aceh, Sumatra who traveled around was resting under a tree. He came to know the name of the tree from the locals, ‘Pokok Bruas’ a wild mangosteen-like tree that bears fruit. Thus, the prince named the land after the tree, ‘Bruas’. Bruas is also known historically for Thai and Chinese traders to come for tin trading way back in the early 16th century.
